Thermoplastic - granular

Thermoplastic is a pavement line and symbol marking that comprises a mixture of glass beads, binder, pigment and filler materials. When heated, it becomes liquid and is then applied, melting onto the top surface of the asphalt and forming a thermal bond. Thermoplastic has superior visibility, both from a distance and at night, since the material is raised above the asphalt surface and also has retro-reflectivity caused by the glass beads embedded on its surface.
